Concierge in scale. Inquiries to the firm.

01

The work

The problems health-system operators already feel—and the ground EMA is retained to work. Experience running high-acuity emergency operations, offered as concierge help rather than a scorecard.

  • Boarding

    Capacity under load

Experience with boarding that never really clears, surge that outlasts the plan, and capacity work that has to hold while the rest of the hospital is still full.

  • Walkaways

    Front-end flow

Track record in front-end collapse, left-without-being-seen pressure, and the resource deployment that has to happen at the door.

  • Survey

    Regulatory response

Experience with survey pressure, EMTALA exposure, and regulatory response that cannot wait for a quieter week.

  • Reliability

    Sepsis, stroke, trauma

Track record in high-reliability quality—sepsis, stroke, and trauma—when crowding is the operating condition, not the exception.

  • Jeopardy

    Citations and risk

Experience with citations, immediate-jeopardy risk, elopement and hold policy, and the executive work of keeping certification intact.

  • Partnership

    Physician-executive

Track record sitting with chairs and C-suites on clinical operations, workforce, transfers, and the physician-executive work of running a high-acuity emergency department.

Where the work sits

The practice sits where boarding, throughput, and survey pressure meet: operations, high reliability, regulatory rescue, and physician-executive partnership.

  1. 01

    Throughput & clinical operations

Experience with front-end resource deployment, length of stay, consultant turnaround, boarding, surge, and capacity. Track record in care-pathway design—admission-sparing protocols, behavioral-health access, readmission work, and flow for lower-resource patients—and in multi-site operational oversight of high-acuity emergency services, including trauma, stroke, and STEMI systems.

  2. 02

    Quality, safety, high-reliability

Experience with Just Culture peer review, sepsis case review under crowding, and protocol work in stroke, trauma, and difficult airway. Track record in patient-safety reporting, root-cause analysis, and close-the-loop improvement when boarding is the daily condition.

  3. 03

    Risk, citations, and jeopardy management

Experience with high-risk EMTALA and CMS survey response alongside executive leadership: cited deficiencies, jeopardy risk, and the preservation of Medicare and Medicaid certification. Track record in enterprise policy on elopement and medical incapacity holds, and in partnership on Joint Commission, stroke, trauma, and burn accreditation.

  4. 04

    Physician executive leadership

Experience in physician-executive leadership of high-acuity emergency operations—setting clinical and operational priorities with chairs and C-suites on surge, capacity, transfers, transitions of care, workforce, APP integration, and faculty development. Track record aligning departmental and health-system goals while remaining a practicing attending.
